Projects are available for highly motivated undergraduate students with different backgrounds in science and engineering (more specifically, electrical and electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, physics, chemistry, chemical engineering).


Setting up electroluminescence imaging system – we will measure the uniformity of our homemade organic LEDs

  • Requirements

    • High motivation
    • Duration: >3 months
    • Students should be able to commute to METU Ankara campus without using transportation
    • Salary: One TUBITAK scholarship is available (up to 750TL/month, only for 3rd-year students)
    • Working hours (Either 8 am – 2 pm or 3 pm – 9 pm)
    • Having a good understanding of topics in EE212 is preferred

Thermal evaporation of salts and organic materials – tooling of evaporation systems, deposition rate, base pressure, vacuum systems.

      • Student should be able to commute to METU Ankara campus without using transportation
      • Working hours: 7 am – 2 pm (due to COVID-19 regulations)
      • Salary: One TUBITAK scholarship is available (up to 750TL/month, only for 3rd year student)

Steady State Photo-carrier Grating Method – measurement of the mobility of semiconductors

    • Requirements

      • High motivation
      • Duration: >3 months
      • Experiments will be done in Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University (MSKU) – student should be able to commute to MSKU
      • Having a good understanding of topics in EE212 is preferred

Terahertz spectroscopy characterization of metal oxides – measurement of the mobility of semiconductors

      • Duration: >3 months
      • Having a good understanding of topics in EE212 is preferred
      • Student should be able to commute to METU Ankara campus without using transportation

Optical simulation of solar cells

    • Requirements

      • High motivation
      • Open to students at any grade but we are planning to accept one student from each grade
      • Knowledge on Matlab is a must for the 3rd year student, is preferred for the 2nd years student. A strong motivation of learning is enough for the 1st year student
      • The project will be done remotely.
      • Duration: >3 months

Electrical simulation of solar cells

    • Requirements

      • High motivation
      • 2nd and 3rd year students
      • Having a good understanding of topics in EE212 is preferred
      • The project will be done remotely.
      • Duration: there will be 5 tasks total. Whenever they are finished.

Fabrication of organic solar cells and LEDs

    • Requirements

      • High motivation on working on organic materials and collaborating with chemists.
